Freestyle

Today I went rollerblading. This was the first time I have done so in roughly a decade. Although I was rusty things were going well until I fell, in the middle of the University Pkwy intersection, in front of eight lanes of traffic.
Braden, bless his heart, immediately threw himself down next to me so I didn't look like such an idiot. Then we laughed. A lot. Any remaining self respect went out the window when I got home and found this text, "I just passed you... sitting on the road. My first thought was what kind of weirdos park themselves in the middle of an intersection. Then I realized it was you."

PARTY!

School is out and it is summer time! Hallelujah!

"The May Picture." We went to a bonfire and Becca caught marshmallows on fire.

On Sunday we had a chick flick session and painted nails. Jeff joined us to watch the dreamy Austin Ames and enjoyed the movie more than we did.

Sarah celebrated her birthday and we went out to dinner. I hate that these girls moved out of Omni!

Emily got married and was a gorgeous bride.

We drove to SLC and watched a movie in the park. Highlight of the night occurred during a "STEAMROLL" and a mom yelled at Becca and Braden. Priceless.
Clearly I have lots of free time and I'm fun. Let's get together!

Fashion Accessory

Hello! Despite the fact that it has been a month since I last posted, life has been quite uneventful. The only thing of note is that for the next indefinite period I will be rocking this beauty.
That is, until the muscles in my wrist start to atrophy.

Granola

Last week I went to Coyote Gulch on a backpacking trip.
After freaking out, shopping, freaking out, and painting my nails, I was ready to go.
See these giant holes? We climbed there.
This was "the cliff" that dropped 200 feet that we had to climb in and out of.
I thought I might die.
These were my legs when I got home. Don't worry, they hurt worse than they look.
This trip was definitely out of my comfort zone and I'm not sure I ever want to do it again. But, now I can say I have been backpacking. Bam.
Quote of the trip: "I'm going to make that mountain my B." -Lauren

Every Morning

Sugar Ray performed in Provo.

My eleven year old self was proud to be at that concert.

Mark McGrath and I made eye contact. Twice.

Hello April!

While spring isn't exactly here, I did my part to bring in the season with a flash of color.
This was my 3rd slash 4th time attending the Holi Festival of Colors. This year was particularly muddy and poor Dani slipped and fell (multiple times). That, and the llama calling, was a highlight of the afternoon.
Sidenote: To the man who grabbed me and prevented my fall... thank you for saving me.

On the 27th Becca threw a Sunday Dinner Party. We laughed, a lot. This group of people makes me happy.

Sledding, Robots, and Mustaches

Life is busy. Things are changing and I am thrilled. More will come later.

On a separate note, my family may or may not have tried to end my life. They took me sledding on "Killer Hill." It was quite enjoyable until I flew off a jump, went at least 6 feet in the air, and crash landed. This resulted in a severely injured neck, shoulder, and jaw. None of which were nearly as disturbing as the explosion of the tumorous mass that was previously growing on my hand. [Note: I am in no way exaggerating]

My dear roommate, Alyssa, is very wise and attends grad school at BYU. Her thesis involves a robot and I convinced her to let me "observe" it [i.e. play]. Troy sang me "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" and won my heart.

Last week there was an outside concert. The music was enjoyable and the people watching was spectacular. A friend was dressed up in a mustache suit; clearly, I made our group take a photo.

Other notable events from the first three months of the year:
* The flood at the Omni-- it has been mentioned in EVERY sacrament meeting since January
* Pizookie Party
* I am a Pass of All Passes [POAP] holder
* Mogul Competition in Park City
* St. Patrick's Day party
* Flash Game [using my POAP]
